Frequently asked questions

What does Reportiq do?

You describe the report you want in plain English — “top 5 products by revenue this month”, “unfulfilled orders older than 5 days”, “restock list by days of cover” — and Reportiq builds it live against your Shopify store. You can view it, share it with a link, export it to Excel, or schedule it to arrive by email or Slack.

How does the plain-English builder work?

Your request is translated by an AI model into a structured report definition — which data source, columns, filters, sorting, and highlighting. Reportiq then runs that definition against your live store. The AI never writes raw database queries and never sees your report results; it only interprets your request.

Is my store data safe?

Yes. Reportiq uses read-only access — it never changes your orders, products, or customers. Your data is stored in the EU and is never sold or used to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What can I report on?

Orders, products/variants, and a restock view that joins 30-day sales velocity to inventory — with filters, grouping, computed fields (like days-since or bucketing), and conditional highlighting.

How do share links work?

Each share link is a long, random, unguessable URL that shows one report with no login required. It’s perfect for sending a report to someone outside Shopify. Only share it with people who should see the data; links can be revoked or set to expire.

Can I schedule reports?

Yes — daily, weekly, or monthly, at a time and timezone you choose, delivered as a share link or Excel file by email or Slack.

Does it export to Excel or Google Sheets?

Reportiq exports a styled Excel (.xlsx) file, which opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.

How is it priced?

See the pricing section on our home page. Billing runs through Shopify and appears on your Shopify invoice; you can cancel anytime by uninstalling.
